Shomail was previously associated with J. Awan and Partners, an International Governance, Risk and Compliance firm, as the Country Head Pakistan and Group Head of Audit and Finance. At KPMG Taseer Hadi and Co. he served as a Senior Manager responsible for managing the Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services (IARCS) function and numerous internal audits, gap analysis, risk assessments engagements for clients from a cross section of industry sector including Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, FMCG, Media, Education and Textile.
Shomail was also associated with the Banking Sector in UK serving as the Deputy Head of Audit for Habib Bank AG Zurich (HBZ) UK and HBL UK responsible for performing internal audits, special investigations review of audit process, methodology and risk and control documents, etc. and acting as a secretary to the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC) and accompanying and/or representing the HIA in the other Board Committees including ALCO and IT Steering. He was also part of the HBZ Projects Core Team leading and managing an array of Regulatory and Compliance projects.
Shomail started his career with KPMG UK where he conducted Assurance and IT Advisory engagements for a cross sector of clients including Automotive, Banking, Energy & Natural Resources, Chemicals, Financial Services, FMGC, some of which include – Singer and Friedlander Finance, ING Car Lease, Standard Chartered, BMW, Siemens, Scottish and Southern Electricity, AKZO Nobel Coating Limited, Reading University.
Shomail is a Certified Internal Control Auditor, an Internal Audit Practitioner, ICAEW (Professional Stage Qualified) and a Bachelors in Accounting (University of Essex – UK).

Siraj Uddin Aziz has been elevated as the Group Financial Institutions CEO, along with being entrusted with other responsibilities, in Habib Bank AG Zurich Group. Aziz has served as Habib Metro Bank President and CEO since 2012.
In his tenure at the helm of the organization, the Bank grew manifold, organically, with its branch outreach increasing from 163 branches in 24 cities in 2012 to 320 branches in 94 cities by the end of 2017. During this period, the Bank’s deposit base also amplified significantly; increasing from Rs 185 billion in 2012 to Rs 518.3 billion in 2017, while the quantum of trade business exhibited an augmentation as well.
In a meeting of the Board of Directors, where the decision was announced, Aziz stated, ‘My journey of the last six-plus years with the Bank has been an immensely rewarding and a motivating experience. I leave Habib Metro Bank at a juncture from where I am positive it will climb to greater orbits of success.’
Before joining Habib Metro Bank, Aziz served as Bank Al-Falah COO and CEO from 2006 till 2012. He has worked in various positions in Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, UK, Nigeria and the UAE for over 25 years.
Aziz will be succeeded by Mohsin Nathani as the President and CEO of Habib Metro Bank.
Nathani is a seasoned corporate banker with over 25 years of banking experience, covering Asia (East and South-East), and Middle East and Levant regions. He served as Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan CEO before moving to Standard Chartered PLC, UAE as CEO.
Mr. Saifuddin N. Zoomkawala is one of those personalities of Pakistan’s corporate world who have done a great contribution in boosting the name of Pakistan in the whole world. Mr. Saifuddin N. Zoomkawala, CEO and Managing Director of EFU General Insurance is the heart and soul of many business and social circles of the country.
Currently, Saifuddin Noor Uddin Zoomkawala holds the position of Chairman at Allianz EFU Health Insurance Ltd. and Chairman for EFU General Insurance Ltd.

Mr. Naqvi is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He was associated with KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co for over 46 years out of which he served as a Senior Partner for over 28 years and an Advisor for 3 years. He was also the Member and President of KPMG MESA (Regional Board), Chairman of the Board of KPMG Afghanistan.
Mr. Naqvi is serving on the Board of Directors of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) and Central Depository Company (CDC), as the Chairman of the Tax Reforms Commission of Pakistan, Member of the Tax Reforms Implementation Committee of FBR, Chairman of the Quality Assurance Appalment Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), Member of the Academics Council of the Commecs Institute of Business & Engineering Sciences (CIBES), a Faculty Member of LUMS for their Directors Training Program.
He is also serving in an honorary capacity on the Board of Trustees of various NGO’s and welfare organizations including Baitul Sukoon Cancer Hospital, Talent Inducement & Placement Society (TIPS) and other community projects.

He was actively involved in the process of revision of Code of Corporate Governance of 2002, as a member of its Sub-Committee.

Khalid Aziz Mirza is a businessperson who has been at the head of 7 different companies. Currently, Mr. Mirza holds the position of Chairman for Awwal Modaraba, Chairman of AWT Investments Ltd., Chairman for Awwal Modaraba Management Ltd. and Chairman for Orix Leasing Pakistan Ltd. Mr. Mirza is also on the board of Murree Brewery Co., Ltd. and Silk bank Ltd. and Professor at Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Khalid Aziz Mirza previously occupied the position of Chairman of Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer at Monopoly Control Authority, Member of Competition Appellate Tribunal of Pakistan, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Competition Commission of Pakistan and Chairman-Monopoly Control Authority at The World Bank.
Mr. Mirza received a graduate degree from the University of the Punjab.
Dr. Izhar Hussain is currently associated with the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi (IBA) as Director Center for Executive Education, where he has successfully rejuvenated the executive education into a thriving center at the institute.
Before joining IBA, he was associated with Abbott Laboratories for over 30 years where he served as a director in various regional roles including Marketing Services, Supply Chain and Business Excellence and Development covering emerging markets including MENA, Asia Pacific, and East Europe. Earlier, he has been associated with the Ministry of Health Libya for coordinating WHO-UNICEF projects in the Eastern Mediterranean Gulf.
Dr. Hussain holds a Ph.D. and an MBA in Marketing. He is also a Certified Auditor for ISO 9000, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and UNDP Certified Trainer for the Directors’ Training Program. He has been imparting training within and outside Pakistan having taught in various business and pharmacy schools for the last 25 years. He is also engaged with various institutions for their curriculum development, and acting in an advisory capacity on various boards and professional bodies such as National Training Services.
Dr. Hussain currently serves as the chairman of the Institute of Financial Markets (an institute formed under the SECP), and an independent member of the Board of Directors of Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (PSPC). He is also serving on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Pharmacy and Journal of Strategy and Performance Management. He regularly publishes research papers and articles in journals, local newspapers, magazines, and periodicals.
Tariq Hussain is the Head of Accounting and Finance Advisory function of Transformation Professionals (Private) Limited. A Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) with over 10 years of experience in providing Assurance and Advisory services in Pakistan and GCC.
He previously served as an Assistant Vice President in the Finance and Internal Audit function of J. Awan & Partners, managing its GCC based clients’ Finance functions in the capacity of an outsourced Finance Officer, managing the finance function of the firm’s Pakistan office and assisting in development & managing internal audit practice servicing Pakistan and GCC based clients.
He started his career with KPMG Pakistan where he led, managed and executed Assurance and Advisory engagements for clients in the FMCG, Trading & Retail, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Construction, Financial Services, Media and Government & Semi-Government sectors. He worked closely with Senior Management at KPMG and clients including BODs and Audit Committees to manage the engagements covering statutory audits, financial statements preparation & reporting reviews, system and controls reviews, process documentation, risk assessments, risk & control analysis and gap analysis.

Kumail Morawala(KM) is a Chief Technology Officer(CTO) at TPPL heading the technology transformation enablement function focusing on advisory, training and the managed services.
KM is a seasoned technology professional with over 13+ years of experience of working throughout Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia. He has held senior positions as the Main Technical Authority and Architect in major IT projects globally with the focus on optimization of the internal business cycles that influence the core of the business and the customer experience. He is an Author, Subject Matter Expert and Certified Trainer for global technology organizations and councils on the following;
KM is a Computer Science graduate from Griffith College in Dublin, Rep. of Ireland and pursued a master’s degree in Digital Communication Networks and Business Management from the University of Sussex, UK. He has had the honor of being invited to participate for a Professional Certificate program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Mr. Basrai is a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) & Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). He completed part of his training from Harrison Son Hill and Company (later merged with Robson Rhodes) and joined Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company in London in the year 1974. After his four years of rich experience he came back to Pakistan and joined KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. He was associated with KPMG since 1978 and has served a Senior Partner KPMG before his retirement in 2018.
He has a vast and diversified experience of advising companies on various matters relating to income tax, both locally and abroad. He has represented clients on highest forums of Tax Authorities. He is a Founder Trustee of Commecs Educational Trust., He serves as a Chairman of Commecs Educational Trust.
